Some things are bigger than all of us

At Macca’s®, while we may be big, we believe that some things are bigger than all of us. Things like supporting the communities we’re a part of, doing our bit to look after the world we live in, and supporting causes that make the world a better place.

Below are some examples of how we’re helping to improve the world around us. We think we’ve made a good start, but for us, this is just the beginning.

We think supporting child literacy is incredibly important. So far, we’ve supplied over 28 million children’s books in our Happy Meals® to date, as part of our on-going Book or Toy initiative.

When a child is diagnosed with a serious illness, it impacts the whole family. Lives can be turned upside down. Ronald McDonald House Charities helps keep families together and close to the care they need when they need it most. With your help, we’ve raised much needed funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities, for over 30 years.

We all have to do our bit to look after the environment. As one of the largest restaurant chains in Australia, we have a responsibility to reduce waste and find better ways of doing things. It’s why we’ve replaced all our plastic straws and cutlery with fibre-based versions. Together we’ll save over 860 tonnes of plastic every year…and for us, this is just the beginning.

At Macca’s, we take great pride in being one of Australia’s largest youth employers. Today, we’re a family of over 106,000 strong, and we’re proud of each and every one of them.

We think it’s important to support those that support us, it’s why we source 100% of our beef and chicken from Aussie farms. In support of animal welfare, we also only source 100% RSPCA approved chicken.
