Maccas launches a Coca-Cola K-pop inspired frozen drink

A celebration of K-culture through an innovative and unique Coca-Cola taste

23 April 2024: McDonald’s Australia and Coca-Cola are bringing the world of K-pop to life with Frozen Coke K-Wave, a new limited edition frozen drink only available at participating Macca’s restaurants.

Frozen Coke K-Wave celebrates the unstoppable energy of K-pop fandemonium that has spread across the world, crafting a limited-edition Coca-Cola flavour as part of Coke Creations.

It infuses the iconic taste of Coca-Cola with a refreshing burst of fruity K-pop magic, bottling that universal, starstruck feeling of meeting an idol, when fantasy becomes real life.

“Ride the K-Wave today with a trip to Macca’s and immerse yourself in the vibrant world of K-pop with Frozen Coke K-Wave.”

To celebrate the arrival of the latest Coke Creations, Coca-Cola has partnered with JYP Entertainment to bring together some of the biggest names in K-pop, including Stray Kids, ITZY and NMIXX. In collaboration, they have created a new K-pop anthem “Like Magic”, produced by Jin Young Park (J.Y. Park).

To give even more to the fans, Coca-Cola is offering one Macca’s customer and a friend the chance to win a trip to South Korea including flights, four nights accommodation and tickets to a K-pop concert on 2 June with Stray Kids, ITZY, NMIXX and more. To enter, purchase a Medium or Large Frozen Coke K-Wave between 24 April and 15 May, simply scan the QR code on the green Frozen Coke K-Wave cup and enter the form for a chance to win.*

Fans can also use the QR code to access technology where they can embed their voice, name and face into the “Like Magic” music video alongside their idols, then download and share their custom creation.

Frozen Coke K-Wave is exclusively available at participating Macca’s restaurants nationwide, via the MyMacca’s app from 24 April 2024, for a limited time only.

 The launch of Frozen Coke K-Wave marks the second Coke Creations flavour to hit Macca’s restaurants, following the futuristic Frozen Coke Y3000 in 2023.
