McCafe is giving ALL Aussies a free coffee

29 May 2023

29 May 2023, Australia: Attention coffee lovers – your next one is on us! Macca’s is giving away free coffee to Aussies nationwide on Tuesday, 30 May to celebrate McCafé’s 30th anniversary.

This special, limited time offer allows customers to redeem a free medium hot coffee via the MyMacca’s app for one day only.

Over the past 30 years, McCafé has become an Aussie success story and global phenomenon, with 1,026 McCafé’s across Australia and more than 4,000 in 60 countries across the word.

Today, it serves up more than 230 million cups of barista-made coffee and hot drinks in a year, with one in every four coffees sold in Australia from a McCafé.

Lancy Huynh, Group Brand Manager for McDonald’s Australia said: “Tomorrow, coffee is on us! We are shouting free coffee to customers across Australia to thank them for their loyalty and support over the past 30 years.

“Free coffee is the only way to celebrate 30 years of serving great-quality coffee to a nation of coffee lovers.

“We hope our customers enjoy their morning coffee or afternoon pick-me-up on us.”

Over the years, McCafé’s reputation for great-quality blends and barista-made coffee has seen it continue to evolve and keep up with customers’ coffee preferences and habits.

McCafé’s in-house baristas have been specially trained to deliver great-quality, barista-made coffee with every cup using the best technology, equipment and coffee beans.

The McCafé blend is roasted in Melbourne and sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms in Brazil, Honduras, Kenya and Ethiopia.

Over the next few weeks, customers will be given lots of reasons to celebrate 30 years of McCafé with new products and giveaways for Aussie customers.

The free medium coffee offer is the latest announcement from McCafé’s 30th anniversary celebrations in Australia. To activate the offer on Tuesday 30 May, open the MyMacca’s app and select ‘free coffee’ under ‘My Deals.’

In addition to free coffee via the app, Macca’s is giving away free coffee via the McCafe coffee van tour, which is traveling the east coast to celebrate McCafé’s anniversary with customers.

The van stopped in Melbourne last week and is in Sydney today (30 May), before heading up to Brisbane on 4 June and Townsville on 6 June.
