16 July 2024

Join the Macca’s #BootPursuit to dip your feet into a cosy pair this winter

16 July 2024: In celebration of Macca’s supreme sauce dipper, the boot shaped Chicken McNugget, Nuggies are back to help Aussies keep their tootsies toasty this winter.

From Wednesday 17 July, customers can get their feet into one of 2000 free, limited-edition pairs of Nuggies, as part of Macca’s #BootPursuit giveaway.

To enter the #BootPursuit, customers simply find a boot shaped Chicken McNugget, follow the QR code on the pack and scan the McNugget for a chance to win the tastiest winter accessory.

Nuggies combine two icons: one of Macca’s classic menu items, Chicken McNuggets, with the iconic Australian winter boot which has recently taken the fashion scene by storm.

Golden, crispy and comforting – the design of Nuggies is delectably reminiscent of the well- loved dipping snack. They even come packaged in a giant Macca’s Sauce tub, complete with a peel-back lid for the ultimate unboxing experience.

Liz Whitbread, Senior Brand Manager for McDonald’s Australia said, “There exists a great debate, what is the best Chicken McNugget shape - the bone, bell, ball or boot?

"Crowned as the supreme dipping icon, we’re celebrating the humble boot-shaped Chicken McNugget by bringing back one of our most sought-after merch collections – Nuggies, but this time we’re giving away even more.

“Macca’s fans, this is your chance to win your very own toasty pair of Nuggies by joining the Boot Pursuit this winter."

Nuggies first launched in 2022, as part of a super-limited-edition giveaway, which saw over 10,000 Australians vying for 50 exclusive pairs and allocations exhausted in under six hours.

This year, they are back by popular demand as part of Macca’s winter warming celebrations and follow the unveiling of an exciting new and returning winter menu, packed full of crowd- pleasers including the Steakhouse Stack, Mozzarella Sticks with Sweet Chilli Sauce, and three sweet treats: Banana Thickshake, Banana Caramel Pie and Banana Caramel McFlurry, available in Chocolate or Vanilla Soft Serve.

Customers can order Chicken McNuggets in Macca’s restaurants nationwide via drive thru, kiosk and front counter, as well as the MyMacca’s app and McDelivery, and participate in #BootPursuit from 9AM (AEST) on Wednesday, 17 July until 5PM (AEST) to Tuesday, 6 August 2024.
