A new premium chicken burger that’s heading straight to Macca’s core menu
26 September 2023: Macca’s most exciting chicken launch in years is here, say g’day to the McCrispy – a chicken burger that’s so good, the Kid LAROI is backing it.
Available now, the McCrispy is a premium fried chicken burger that’s crispy, juicy, and tender to perfection – Macca’s crispiest and best chicken burger yet.
It features 100% Aussie RSPCA Approved chicken breast with a crispy coating, topped with fresh shredded iceberg and cos lettuce and a new McCrispy signature sauce, served in a soft glazed bun.
Set to quickly become a fan favourite, the McCrispy will be heading straight onto the permanent menu next to existing Macca’s icons - the Big Mac, Quarter Pounder, Cheeseburger and Fillet-O-Fish.

To celebrate the arrival of a new rising icon, Macca’s has partnered with an existing icon, one of the biggest names on the music scene today, award-winning rapper, singer, and songwriter the Kid LAROI.
The Kid LAROI will feature front and centre in McDonald’s new McCrispy campaign, premiering Wednesday, 27 September.
We asked the Kid LAROI what he thought of the McCrispy, from one icon to another: “Crispy, juicy and down-right delicious, the McCrispy has my seal of approval and its now part of my go-to Macca’s order.
“I love a good chicken burger and am a huge Macca’s fan, so when I found out McDonald’s was launching its best chicken burger yet, I had to get involved.
“I can’t wait for Macca’s fans and chicken lovers to try this new game-changing burger and, of course, see the ad!”
The collaboration marks the second time that Macca’s and the Kid LAROI have joined forces, following the drop of Australia’s first local Famous Order in 2022.
Having grown up visiting his local McDonald’s at Waterloo, Sydney, the Kid LAROI is a proud Macca’s fan favouring Chicken McNuggets, Frozen Coke, and now the McCrispy.
Making its grand entrance alongside the McCrispy is the McCrispy Deluxe, its slightly fancier sibling.
The McCrispy Deluxe features 100% Aussie RSPCA Approved chicken breast with a crispy coating, topped with fresh shredded iceberg and cos lettuce, ripe tomato, Aussie Jack cheese and a new McCrispy signature sauce, served in a soft glazed bun.
The McCrispy has performed exceptionally across other global markets including the US, UK, Sweden, France, Spain and Canada, and now local customers get to experience a version of the burger created specifically for Aussie tastebuds.
The McCrispy and McCrispy Deluxe are now permanently available in Australia across Macca’s restaurants nationwide, via the MyMacca’s App and McDelivery.
