Maccas unlocks a world of adventure as Minecraft mania hits Australia

The world is yours to collect, build or explore with new, limited-time A Minecraft Movie Meal, The Nether-inspired hot sauce, collectibles with epic in-game exclusives and Happy Meal toy
It’s about to be a pixel party at Macca’s as we bring the cinematic world of A Minecraft Movie to our fans of all ages across 100 countries with A Minecraft Movie Meal and Happy Meal, starting from Wednesday, 2 April .
Minecraft fans will enter the McDonald’s portal with our new limited-time meals, featuring exclusive collectibles and matching cards that unlock in-game experiences, a fiery hot sauce inspired by The Nether, special pixelated packaging and more.
From crafting pixel-perfect replicas of our iconic Golden Arches and world-famous menu items to stacking block upon block into full-on restaurants, fans have been building their love for McDonald’s in Minecraft for years.
Now, inspired by their block-tastic imaginations and the global big screen adventure debuting in Aussie cinemas on 3 April, we’re unlocking a new level of ‘Creative Mode’ (meaning more fun, magic and feel-good experiences) – because in moments big and small, we’re here to serve up more of what you love, alongside the food you know and enjoy.

A Minecraft Movie Meal stars one of six collectibles inspired by McDonald’s most beloved characters and menu items, and popular Minecraft treasures. Elevate your mining sessions with:
- Big Mac Crystal - Mined from the sea of special sauce, this precious block derives its radiant shine from melty cheese and a toasty sesame seed
- Birdie Wings - Keep your eye to the sky or you might miss the early bird soaring high above the clouds with a rare pair of elytra
- Fry Helmet - Forged from the iconic French Fry box, this enchanted helmet is rumored to protect you from friends stealing your last
- Grimace Egg - Emerging from the depths of a purple shake, this magical Grimace mob gets its shape from the most coveted egg of them
- Soda Potion - The electrifying effect of this potion is as mysterious as its recipe: an accidental combo of fantastic fizzy
- Zombie Hamburger - Little is known about this hungry mob who spawns late at night and wanders all biomes in search of hamburgers.
Collect them all to stock up your inventory - each collectible comes with a matching card and a code so you can scan to unlock an exclusive skin in the Minecraft Marketplace.1 AND, if you purchase through the MyMacca’s App, you get a free in-game bonus - a special Minecraft Add- On pack with access to in-game enhancements featuring McDonaldland characters, builds and tools.
The food you ask? Well, you can build your world and your meal. Fans can choose between a Big Mac or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, served alongside Fries and your favourite Drink.
Craving a saucy kick to your Chicken McNuggets? Pair it with a side of Nether Flame Sauce – a limited-edition hot sauce inspired by The Nether (IYKYK) with crushed red pepper and flaming cayenne, balanced with hints of garlic and sweetness.
