The El Maco is back, and the fiesta just got even bigger

14 January 2026

One legendary fave. Two brand-new twists. Plus a sweet Aussie icon in the mix. 2026 is officially serving flavour.

El Maco fans...this is the moment you’ve been waiting for. You asked, you manifested – and now, it's here. Macca’s is kicking off the new year with a full-on flavour fiesta, bringing back the iconic El Maco Range – now juicier, zestier and stacked with all the tastiness you’ve been craving.

Landing at your local Macca’s from Wednesday 14 January, this limited-edition range isn’t just about bringing back the OG legend – El Maco Beef – it's also rolling out two fresh, drool-worthy twists to level up your lunch or dinner game. And because no fiesta is complete without dessert, we’re also adding MILO magic to the mix with two sweet treats. Meet the lineup:

The legendary El Maco Beef

Sink your teeth into the El Maco Beef, stacked with two juicy 100% Aussie beef patties, crisp lettuce, fresh tomato, cheese, bold El Maco salsa and sour cream – all in a soft sesame seed bun. Back by popular demand, this is the throwback Aussies have been craving since its first debut on Aussie menus in the 90’s.

NEW El Maco McCrispy

Crunch meets crave...it’s everything you love about the McCrispy but fully El Maco-fied. Meet the El Maco McCrispy – a juicy 100% Aussie RSPCA Approved chicken breast fillet with a crunchier-than-ever coating, crisp lettuce, fresh tomato, cheese, chunky El Maco salsa and smooth sour cream, all on a soft potato bun.

NEW El Maco Chicken McWrap

On the go? The El Maco Chicken McWrap brings together juicy 100% Aussie RSPCA Approved chicken breast, crisp lettuce, tomato, cheese, chunky El Maco salsa and smooth sour cream, wrapped in a soft tortilla. BIG flavour, perfectly wrapped for your ultimate grab and go fiesta.

Sweeten the fiesta with MILO magic

Level up your El Maco order with some sweet treats: the beloved fan favourite McFlurry made with MILO returns, joined by the NEW Shake made with MILO. Tell us, how do you mix it? Whether you crunch, flip or stir your MILO, there’s no wrong way to enjoy this Aussie icon.

Amanda Nakad, Marketing Director of Menu and Brand for McDonald’s Australia, said: “Aussies have been calling for El Maco to make a comeback and we’ve listened. This range is all about big flavours with two new twists in the El Maco McCrispy and El Maco Chicken McWrap – and for those with a sweet tooth, we’re bringing MILO into the mix with a McFlurry and Shake.

“Whether you're grabbing lunch on the go or treating yourself after a long day, this is the comeback you’ll want to sink your teeth into.”

Grab the El Maco Range, McFlurry and Shake made with MILO at your local Macca’s from Wednesday 14 January, for a limited time only - available via drive-thru, front counter, kiosk and the MyMacca’s app.

But don’t sleep on it – they’re only here for a hot minute!
